A Philosophy of Healing
Healing has nothing to do with fixing. It's not seeking out everything that's wrong with you or dredging up shadow aspects or focusing solely on your pain until it magically goes away.
When I approach the body with healing intention, it's about finding the inherent health that already exists within you and amplifying that vitality. It's about connecting through finesse and energetic attunement to the wisdom of your own healing ability, stepping aside, and letting it guide me. And yes, in doing so, it will often spontaneously lead me to denser areas that are ready to allow more lightness to move through. Amplification of light, vitality, and health is what moves stagnant energy and brings awareness to certain ideas, instances, and/or stuck emotions that are associated with that density. Being held in compassion, witnessed in your wholeness and in the light of your highest potential despite your pain and suffering is healing. This is real shadow work.
This might seem like a subtle difference, but at a certain point in your healing journey, you can tell when someone is digging into a pain point, versus facilitating release through spaciousness and equanimity. It can be the difference between being put through a meat grinder, or being pushed through an experience, versus being held in full acceptance of exactly where you are now so that evolution and transformation happen naturally.
Wandering through the underworld with no awareness of the light that exists at the core of your being is fruitless. Awareness of your light, however dim, is the most important element to carry with you in your exploration of self, and by extension the vessel that carries your self, your body.
The comical part of this paradoxical polarity is it sounds like I'm shaming one perspective and glorifying another but I recognize both are necessary parts of the healing journey. You wouldn't understand one without experiencing the other. However, there will come a point in your healing journey where this subtlety and philosophy becomes very important because certain energetics will not shift without this key shift in perspective.
Semantics are fun and attempting to eff the ineffable is meaningful but first one must have a felt sense of experience. If you made it through this article, perhaps you know what I'm speaking to or this is what you're seeking. Give yourself the opportunity by booking a session.
